1. INTRODUCTION

KML or Keyhole Markup Language is a fille format used to display ge-
ographic data in an Earth browser such as Google Earth, Google Maps,
and Google Maps for mobile. It is an XML-based language and uses a
tag-based structure. Just as web browsers render HTML, Earth browsers
render KML.

1.1 About Kml Toolkit
Kml Toolkit is a package to generate kmz files (a zipped format of kml files).
It extracts information from text files and generates a kmz file which can
be rendered in Earth browsers.

1.2 Using the manual
This manual is categorized as follows: section 2 contains compilation and
installation instructions; section 3 contains the usage information. It has
details of the input and output file formats and contains information about
the usage of the output file; section 4 contains the contacts to report any
bugs or for any query; finally section 5 contains copyright information and
references.
Symbollic words are enclosed within underscores. For eg. filename refers
to some file name.
